Selection tips
- Rib slot pitch and pole bore are the first tolerances to hold: they decide whether the canopy opens symmetrically.
- Zinc suits small and medium spans; above about 3 m, switch to aluminium die casting to shed weight.
- Keep 2.5 mm or more around the pin bores and radius the edges: hole-mouth cracking is the classic hub failure under long-term load.
- Against a moulded hub: plastic is cheaper but creeps outdoors, so commercial terraces should stay with metal.

Qinxi owns the hub model and the die, so the rib slot layout and the wall sections are engineered in-house. A parasol hub carries the whole canopy load into the pole, so the rib slot pitch and the bore-to-pole fit are fixed at the design stage.

The hub is cast on Qinxi's own line. Hub castings are thick-section compared with an apparel trim, so fill and porosity at the rib slots are the watch points.

Gates and flash are removed and the visible faces are polished in-house. This is part of the die-casting cell, not a separate finishing supplier.

Machining, assembly and fit check
Supply chain / partnersRib slots are assembled with the ribs and pins, and the hub is checked on the pole. A hub that rocks on the pole makes the whole parasol feel cheap.
