    Marker making & cutting

    Panels are cut to the pattern, usually 8 panels for a personal umbrella. Cutting accuracy decides canopy symmetry.

    Printing / embroidery

    Logo applied panel by panel; print position on every panel must be approved on a pre-production sample.

    Sewing

    Panels are sewn together with reinforced seams. Stitch density and needle size directly affect seam leakage, the number one umbrella defect.

    • Seam strength · Seam pull test to agreed spec · 5 pcs per batch

    Seam waterproofing

    Waterproof tape or sealant applied over the needle holes; without it, canopies leak along the seams.

    • Seam leakage · Spray / shower test per ISO 4920 or buyer method, no drips inside · 5 pcs per batch

    Canopy inspection before frame mounting

    Finished canopy checked for symmetry, panel count and defects before it goes onto the frame.
