Selection tips

  • Set the tilt detents (15-30 degrees is common) together with the locking force, using a spring catch or a tooth disc.
  • A tooth disc outlasts a friction joint but needs a more expensive tool: choose by volume.
  • Thin teeth chip: keep the tooth section thick and prove 500 tilts.
  • Against plastic: a plastic tooth disc is quieter but wears; metal is the durable choice.

    De-gating, deburring and polishing

    Gates and flash are removed and the visible faces are polished in-house. This is part of the die-casting cell, not a separate finishing supplier.

    Plating or coating

    Supply chain / partners

    Coating is applied by the supply chain and checked for thickness and corrosion; a tilt joint that seizes from corrosion is a warranty claim.

    Pin fitting and tilt test
