Selection tips

  • This part carries load, so keep walls at 2.0 mm minimum, thicken around threaded holes and avoid sharp corners or the casting chips on assembly.
  • Let the steel tube insert take the bending and the zinc casting take the shape and the lock: a zinc neck in pure bending cracks at the fillet.
  • Powder coat or plated plus a sealer for permanent outdoor use; bare plating shows white rust in 6-12 months on the coast.
  • Against an aluminium casting: zinc holds finer detail and thinner sections but is heavier, so go aluminium or welded steel above roughly 1 kg.

    Qinxi owns the adapter model and die. The adapter has to match both the pole diameter and the base socket, so both bores are designed in-house against the buyer's pole and base specification.

    De-gating, deburring and polishing

    Gates and flash are removed and the visible faces are polished in-house. This is part of the die-casting cell, not a separate finishing supplier.

    Plating or coating

    Coating is applied by the supply chain and checked for thickness and corrosion.

    Bushing fitting and rock test

    The bushing is fitted and the adapter is assembled to the pole and the base, then rock-tested. A loose adapter is the first thing a user notices on a parasol.
