  • Pendant necklacesWorn as a necklace with an attached bail or bail ring
  • Keychains & charmsFitted with a split ring as a bag or key charm

Selection tips

  • Decide hand-painted versus printed image early: hand-painted reads premium but is slower and less repeatable, printed is consistent and cheaper.
  • Specify the cover material: glass scratches less but is heavier and more fragile, resin is lighter and safer for children-exposed items.
  • Jewellery is held to stricter lead and cadmium limits than umbrellas; confirm REACH Annex XVII and CPSIA thresholds with the buyer.
  • EU skin-contact items need nickel-free plating to meet REACH nickel-release limits.

Manufacturing process & quality control points

  1. 1

    Pendant design & tooling

Qinxi in-houseZinc & Aluminum Alloy Die Casting

Qinxi owns the 3D relief model and the die for the pendant shell, so this is made in-house. The image, cover and bail are specified at the enquiry stage and sourced from the supply chain.

    Quality control points

    • Relief depth and image window fit · Engineering review of the artwork and tool · Each new tool or project
  2. 2

Zinc alloy die casting of the shell

Qinxi in-houseZinc & Aluminum Alloy Die Casting

The pendant shell is die cast on Qinxi's own line, de-gated and tumbled. The image window and relief edges are the visible surface, so fill and flash there are checked rather than only the back.

    Quality control points

    • Fill and porosity at the relief and window · Visual check under 600-1000 lx, 300 mm distance · First 5 pieces per cavity per shift
    • Window dimension for the image · Caliper and go/no-go gauge · First article + every 2 hours
  3. 3

    Plating and enamel / resin

    Supply chain / partners

The shell is plated and the recess may be filled with enamel or a resin dome. Plating is outsourced to the supply chain; thickness and corrosion are verified against the agreed specification.

    Quality control points

    • Coating thickness · XRF coating thickness gauge (ISO 3497 / ASTM B568) · One set per plating colour per batch
    • Enamel / resin bubble and adhesion · 10x loupe; tape adhesion test · Per lot, AQL 2.5 (ISO 2859-1 general level II)
  4. 4

    Image insertion and assembly

    Qinxi in-house

The image is placed in the window, the cover is sealed and the bail is attached. This final assembly is done in-house: cap and assembly are Qinxi's own process, so the pendant leaves the line complete.

    Quality control points

    • Image alignment and cover seal · Visual check under 600-1000 lx, 300 mm distance · Per lot, AQL 2.5 (ISO 2859-1 general level II)
    • Bail pull and pendant drop · Pull gauge on the bail; drop test per agreed height · One sample set per batch
