Cap Top Button / Crown Button
The button that sits on top of a cap crown and hides or covers the hole where the panels are sewn together. A zinc die-cast version is made in-house and takes a logo or shaped top; copper and plastic versions are sourced from the supply chain. The button is stitched or riveted on at the cap maker.

Selection tips
- Decide die-cast, copper or plastic at the enquiry stage: die-cast takes a logo and a shaped top, copper reads premium, plastic is lightest and cheapest.
- Match the base diameter to the crown hole so the stitching is covered without lifting the panels.
- Ferrous versions trigger garment needle detectors; for 100% needle-detected markets use brass, copper or plastic.
- EU skin-contact items need nickel-free plating to meet REACH nickel-release limits.

Qinxi owns the 3D model and the die for the zinc die-cast top button, so this version is made in-house. Copper and plastic versions are also offered; Qinxi has no stamping or injection line, so those are sourced from the supply chain. The route is fixed at enquiry stage.

The button is die cast on Qinxi's own line, de-gated and tumbled. The base that meets the crown is the sealing surface, so flash there is removed so it does not lift the stitching.

Stamping / injection (supply-chain version)
Supply chain / partnersCopper stamped and plastic injected buttons are made at the supply chain to the same diameter and plating or colour specification. Qinxi has no stamping or injection line, so these are sourced.

Buttons are de-gated, deburred and tumble-polished before they leave for plating. This is part of the die-casting process and is done in-house.

Plating
Supply chain / partnersPlating is outsourced to Qinxi's finishing partners and verified for thickness and corrosion against the agreed specification.

Fit and pull test
Supply chain / partnersFinished buttons are checked for diameter and the die-cast version is pull-checked on a stitched sample. For the die-cast version this is Qinxi's own incoming check; for the supply-chain version it is the supplier's test with Qinxi spot-checking.
