Selection tips
- At 0.15 mm the film tears on the first snag; 0.2-0.3 mm is the working range, and thicker makes the umbrella hard to close.
- PVC goes brittle near freezing; for cold markets specify POE or EVA instead.
- A clear canopy shows the frame and any condensation, so specify anti-fog treatment and control workshop humidity.
- Weld strength sets the service life: run peel and cold-fold tests, not just a visual check.

Cutting and seam welding
Supply chain / partnersPanels are cut and joined by high-frequency welding rather than sewing, because a needle hole in a film canopy is a leak path that cannot be sealed afterwards.

Cold-crack and blocking check
Supply chain / partnersPVC canopy film is checked for cold-crack behaviour and for blocking, because a transparent umbrella is sold into cold markets and shipped folded.
